Veteran Homelessness and Suicide Prevention

On any given night in America, there are over 49,000 homeless veterans living on the streets who are not in any type of shelter.

The State of Georgia ranks third among states for the largest number of homeless veterans behind Hawaii and Oregon.

Veterans are at 50% higher risk of suicide than their peers who have not served. Since 2001, more than 114,000 veterans have died by suicide. It is estimated that 22 veterans take their own lives every day. For this reason, we begin each riding day with 22 pushups to bring attention to the need for suicide prevention programs among veterans.

Rob Piroumian is riding for the Cherokee County Homeless Veterans Program in Canton, GA. Please consider donating to this very worthy cause! https://www.cherokeehomelessvets.com/donate/
